In my professional life, I photograph people almost exclusively.  This subject matter continues into my personal work as well.  Very rarely have I taken on "still life" personal projects, mainly because I've never been interested in the subject matter.  It's very hard for me to connect with an object the way I connect with people.  Late last year, when I started trying to maintain my own scooter, I discovered a new relationship with these objects.  I have a tremendous amount of appreciation for the role that they play.  Without them, I wouldn't be able to enjoy one of my greatest obsessions.
